The
worldwide standard for theatrical motion picture projection is 35mm and for the
foreseeable future will remain 35mm.
It
is a high quality reasonably priced method in use since the inception of the
Motion Picture Industry. It is a worldwide standard. Films released in Hollywood
USA or in Almity Kazakhstan in the 35mm format will project without any
modifications on any standard 35mm projection system in the world.
The
New E-Cinema (Digital Video Projection Systems) currently produced as prototypes
by Texas
Instruments seem to be the wave of the future in Cinema Projection
Technologies.
Sony
and other companies are working aggressively to produce their own systems.
These
are still in the prototype and experimental stage. Thus, your choice is still
limited to 35mm for 1st run state of the art projection in your
cinema developments.
Keep
watching this website for more information on the emerging E-Cinema
Technologies.
